Ancient streets of Old Jaffa at golden hour

Our Story

Inside Kwintner

Where ancient stone meets molten gold

Chapter One — The Founders

Tal and Lee Kwintner in their Old Jaffa studio

Tal & Lee

Kwintner was born from a shared obsession with the raw beauty of imperfection. Tal, an industrial product designer and a trained goldsmith with over 20 years of experience, and Lee, a jewelry designer graduate of Bezalel academy and a curator of Shankar collage brother and sister, founded this family business with a shared passion for crafting exquisite jewelry inspired by the beauty of nature.

In the heart of the historic city of Jaffa, surrounded by the charm of ancient streets and vibrant artistry, Studio Kwintner comes to life.

Together, they founded Kwintner with a singular belief: that jewelry should carry the memory of its making. Every hammer mark, every unpolished edge, every raw crystal set into gold - these are not flaws. They are signatures of the human hand.

We don't design jewelry. We listen to the metal and let it remember what it once was.

Chapter Two — The Heritage

Rooted in Ancient Ground

Old Jaffa is one of the oldest port cities in the world. A place where Phoenician traders, Ottoman artisans, and Mediterranean craftsmen have left their mark across millennia. Our studio sits within these ancient stone walls, beneath vaulted ceilings that have sheltered makers for centuries. The Mediterranean light that pours through our arched windows is the same light that has inspired artists since antiquity.

This is not merely where we work - it is why we work the way we do. The raw textures of limestone, the organic erosion of sea-worn stone, the warm patina of ancient bronze doors - these are the visual languages that inform every piece we create. When you wear our unique pieces, you carry a fragment of this place with you.

Chapter Three — The Philosophy

The Kwintner
Philosophy

In a world of mass production and machine precision, we choose a different path. Our jewelry is a conversation between the creator and the creation, between the hand and the material - a dialogue where neither voice dominates, and the result is something that could never be replicated exactly.

Raw over Refined

We celebrate the natural character of precious metals, the hammer marks, the organic edges, the unpolished surfaces that reveal gold's true warmth.

Organic over Geometric

Our forms are born from nature, branching coral, weathered stone, crystalline structures. We never impose symmetry where asymmetry tells a richer story.

Handmade over Machine-made

Every piece passes through our hands dozens of times. The slight variations between pieces are not imperfections. They are proof of life.

Chapter Four — The Process

From Raw Earth
to Precious Heirloom

01

Raw Materials

Meticulously sourced gold and gemstones arrive at the studio in their purest form.

02

Sketching

Each design begins as a hand-drawn sketch, capturing the organic movement and flow of the piece.

03

Wax Carving

A wax model is hand-carved to translate the sketch into three-dimensional form.

04

Casting

Molten gold is poured into the mold using the ancient lost-wax technique, a method unchanged for millennia.

05

Hand-Finishing

Each piece is textured, set, and finished entirely by hand. No two pieces are ever identical.

06

The Final Piece

A unique creation, carrying the warmth of the artisan's hand and the spirit of Old Jaffa.
